Hi All,

I would love to see some rain! We are still having quite the drought in CA. I have no plans for today...just unstructured time! Have to enjoy it! My husband is leaving tomorrow for a few days. I get to be alone in the house. It's a really nice change of pace for me.

Breakfast: watermelon

Lunch: tuna with cottage cheese and tomatoes

Dinner: beef soup

Snacks: biscotti, fruit

Sorry to hear about you binge - but when I am close to goal or at goal - and eat very low carb for a few days - I need to re-carb to function.  I supect that what happened to you. Your body was very low on glycogen - the stored sugar - and your body paniced and made you eat all those snacks.

Now that I know it would happen if I like it or not - I am prepared for that and I would use fruits - like berries, nuts, and dark chocolate (70%) dark. Even though I dump on too much sugar- when my body is desperate for carbs - I don't dump. I may get RH...

That's why I can't do the protein only weeks. I need my nuts ..and chocolate.

Yvonne

sorry about the binge but at least the temptations are gone.  Now the hard part....   DON'T BUY ANY MORE.

Last night I pickled or spiced some crabapples.  I have never done this before.  My temporary landlord has a tree and they are loaded.  More than enough for her and me and the deer.

I used a recipe I found online.  Man is it loaded with sugar.  I made one batch and gave it to my landlady.  After all she provided the crabapples.  She also had sugar in the cottage so I used it as well.  I provided the other ingredients.  This morning I made a batch with Splenda.  I had a enough liquid left to do an extra pint so I splashed a little Crown Royal in it and I'll see how that works.  I probably should have waited to add the whiskey until the apples were cooked.  I am sure I cooked out all the alcohol.  Live and learn.

For breakfast - oatmeal

lunch - pasta with homemade tomato sauce

snack - fruit

dinner - going out to Bearcreek Steakhouse for steak and the pig races.  Yes I did say pig races.  Another new experience.  You can bet if you like and what ever money you lose goes to the local school.  Cool !

It was raining really hard when I got up but has slowed down. At least I'm not tired. I went on a binge during the night,  I'm so disappointed in myself this morning. Oh well it's done and over with since there is no more snickers and my homemade chocolate chip cookies with splenda.  The cookies were in the freezer but were edible when I tried them.

B liquid ham and cheese omelet and string cheese

L cottage cheese and baby carrots

D sirloin pork chop and green beans

S light and fit blueberry Greek yogurt and turkey sausage snack sticks

Have a good day
