I just got back from the concert in the park. It was the last one of the season and they also had an ice cream social. I didn't eat any. It was also quite chilly tonight. Sat in a sweat shirt with a hoodie and wrapped in a lap blanket.
We have three weeks left before we leave for Sheridan and we have seen all of the major attractions and sights. We are now just finding paths along the river and other local hikes we are finding out about. I am also planning a little baking. The boys in the front house will eat most of it so I can have a taste of something new but not over indulge. Tonight I picked a bunch of crabapples and I found a recipe for spiced crabapples. The Walmart here did not have cardamom seeds or whole cloves so I have to try Albertson's. When I find that I will have all the ingredients. My landlord also got a box of apples from a friend's tree. They are best used for cooking so I am going to make an apple pie. She told me to take as much as I wanted. I found a recipe that sounds good but it calls for whiskey so I have to buy that. I am going to use Splenda so I don't know how it will come out. I use Splenda in cakes and muffins all the time but I have never used it in pies except pumpkin. Well I'll see how well Splenda and whiskey go together.
Breakfast today oops forgot
lunch - 1/4 hamburger wasn't hungry
snack - blueberries
dinner - ham and chicken sandwich with fruit salad made with peach, bosc pear, pulmcot ( part plum part apricot), never saw one before, banana, orange, and blueberries. I mixed a little agave with lemon juice for a light dressing to keep the bananas from turning brown.
see ya tomorrow.
Hey Yvonne and Ladies to follow,
I am in the middle of going through books. I have seven large book shelves (two sided) and then I have twenty or more book boxes filled with books. Then I have books on my tables...well, you get it. I am organizing them and picking books that I will trade or sell....
Plus, I am still canning....will my daughter's garden ever quit producing?

Hi ladies,
I woke up at 7 am and got some water to drink. I laid down on the couch and ended going back to sleep until 1045 am so my meals are off again.

Hi All... I hear you on the sugar Trish. I really prefer salty, savory types of foods but if there is candy in the house I will find it. I bought some for my Bunco party in early August and I bought way too much. It has to go.
I have my card class today. I am cutting it short because I promised Linda I would visit for a few hours. When you are unable to get out by yourself life can get pretty lonely. That is also when your friends kind of back off...for many reasons I guess, busy lives, forgetting the other person, and probably not wanting to think about the sadness and fear that comes with a degenerative disease...for everyone, not just the person with the disease. Our feelings can be so complex sometimes, it's easier to not feel them.
Breakfast: protein drink
Lunch: scrambled egg with cheese
Dinner: chicken with veggies
Snack: watermelon, canteloupe
I am canning today. I'm making vegetable soup and later today, I'll can some pinto beans. Anyway, that's about it for me.

Snack...I've got to eat these cucumbers.
Good Morning OFF,
I will be celebrating my 10 year surgiversary in four days, and that is when I will swear off the sugar, and commit to increasing my exercise. Back to basics.
Today, I have my psychotherapy appointment, then I have to cut the grass out back. I did the front yard yesterday.
Must scoot.
Hugs,
Trish
