So tomorrow I will be 3 months and 20 days out of surgery.  So much has changed and everything is going well.  I recently started a blog for my friends and family to follow because everyone is so curious about what I'm eating.  I remember being pre-op and feeling like I was having to choose between being "normal" and having this surgery.  Those feelings are gone and if anything, I am feeling more and more normal everyday.  I'm not a cook by any definition, but my blog hopefully will show over time that with a little effort and planning that you can make SIMPLE and healthy meals that do work after surgery!

Melissa,

Congratulations!!!  You've been making great progress and it sounds like your head is learning to be in the "right" place for long-term success.  Keeping a blog like that is a great way to record your journey, inspire others, and keep yourself accountable.  Good idea!

Thanks for sharing it with us!

I went through it briefly and must say - the chick pea thing sounds very different and awesome :)  I might give that a try.  Thanks for sharing!  Keep up the great work!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
