Shari, I had just a lift (not a reduction), no implants, in August, 2006.  I am very happy with my results.  I was mostly a DD prior to BL surgery and am now mostly a D.  In my opinion, the outcome depends largely on the technique that the surgeon uses.  It is possible to get very nice aethetic results without implants.  If you want to see photos, please PM me. Best wishes, Sharon

I had a lower body lift and breast lift 7 weeks ago. I went from a 34DD to a 32 C/D9(in between) The doc said I wouldn't need implants cuz I still had a lot of volume. a lift is similar to a reduction in that they take off all the extra skin(not tissue) I had a LOT of skin. My boobs look great, I don't recognize them!!! They were SOOO LONG it wasn't funny!!!! Some doctors won't do a lift without implants, thank goodness my doc wasn't like that. I definitely don't NEED implants, my boobs are plenty big!! Get a second opinion or third... I went from 299 pounds, now I'm 117.

I am 3 months post-op breast reduction, no implants. I am now a B cup and couldn't be happier! After being a DDD and very disproportionate all my life I am enjoying the freedom. I have read that several people have had their reduction first and implants later if needed, so I figure I can do that if I want to later. Good luck and enjoy!

I'm so glad that you posted on this topic!  I went for my consult with my PS last week, and he's planning to do an extended abdomniplasty with muscle tightening, and then a BR w/o implants 2 months later.  I'm a 36DDD now, and he thinks that I'll be a C/small D afterwards.  He said that without the reduction, he thinks my body will look really weird after the panni removal - he actually said that I'm small  !! We're hoping that insurance will pay for the abdomniplasty, and he said that he's positive that they'll pay for the BR (he works with my insurance company on a regular basis, and said that I'm well within the criteria for them to pay for it). I'm not sure how I feel about the reduction... I'd love to have less of the girls to deal with, and less pain, but I think dh will go into mourning if the girls are completely gone, lol.

I had breast reduction/lift without implants 1 year ago.  I was a 38C/D then and I am a 36 Barely B now.  I have thought about implants but probably won't have them at this point in my life.  I would be willing to share my picture with you through private email if you like.

I had a BL/BR four years ago this last August.  I chose not to have implants because of the problems my older sister has had with them.  I realized that even implants SAG after time just like regular breasts without them, so I opted for doing the right thing.

My poor breasts before surgery were pointing so far south that they were turning inward and were so flat they looked like the sloping side of a mountain.  I had started out wearing a size 58H before WLS and am now a 36D.  I am SO HAPPY with them!  They point east/west and I had him make the aerola smaller because mine were huge!  I have a litte more sensation in the left nipple than the right, but they are symmetrical and look absolutely flawless, even four years later!  I'm so glad I made this decision!  Good luck and God bless!  Robin
