Had plastics with Hydradenitis Suppurativa?
I have a mild (thankfully) case of HS that results in axillary sores--- rarely since my weight loss, but more when it's hot out. The bulk of my arms prevents me from airing the armpits out as I wish I could-- staying dry helps.
Anyone here with HS had a brachioplasty or other plastic surgery? I know they advise against it, but in a mild case, or without open lesions, is it possible?

I have had HS fairly mildly. My lesions were always in the labia, and I hadn't had any for several years when I had my tummy tuck a year ago. The trauma of the surgery brought on a severe outbreak. I don't know whether it was a combination of stress, tight comression garments, or the hot flashes that would make me sweat, but whatever, I was as miserable from the HS as I was from the recovery of the tummy tuck. I am having a tt revision, monsplasty, and brachioplasty in April, and I am concerned about a recurrence of this. I haven't had any lesions since the original postop ones, so I don't know what I can do to prevent it from happening again.
So, to answer you, I don't have an answer, except to say it is something to be concerned about and discuss it with your plastic surgeon.
