Under Eye Bags after Weight Loss?

You can't tell by my photos, because I Photoshop™ them out, but I have terrible undereye bags after losing 153 pounds. I know that dehydration is part of the issue, but I am starting to think that it's going to be a plastics issue. I went from being a pretty, well-rested looking fat woman to looking like I was beat with a stick. Anyone else share this experience? Have lower-lid blepharoplasty? What were the costs? How do you feel about the results?

I can relate!! I look like an old hag.....I am also wondering what can be done, i will be checking out thr responses..... It really changes the way you feel when you look in the mirror and you feel as if you look like a racoon.......

Most rapid weight loss patients go through this. I looked like my mother for a while. LOL You are very early out. give it some time. Our faces rejeuvinate (sp) after a while and bounce back. I went from hey mom in the mirror to who is that lucky lady. Your skin will brighten and firm. Good luck, Loris

Loris...Woman, how is it that your face bounced back and mine forgot where it used to live??? Soooo not fair! I told doc that I needed my lower eyes done, and he looked at them and said, "Oh, that's just because you lost weight." Duhhhhhhh! I'll try to say this with SOME enthusiasm....I'm sooooo happy for you. Loves ya, Mary

Hey Jupiter6...Welcome to our world. The land of 'Stitched Together'. And proud of it. Your new avatar looks great. Even if you did have it Photoshopped!!! I told my doc that I needed a neck lift and he said it didn't look that bad. I told him that when I take pics it has funny lines and shadows that you don't see in the mirror. He said, have them Photoshopped. What kind of a plastic surgeon says things like that? I've had my upper eyes done and love the results. It was fairly simple surgery and cost $1500, same as for lower, but Dr. Duct Tape said that I didn't need my lower done. Mine are hollow. But I still can identify with that look of being beaten with a stick. 153 pounds???? I didn't realize that you had lost that much weight. Girl, YOU ROCKED IT! Mary
