Did your insurance approve your breast reduction?

I started as a 48H and am now a 38DDD, with a cracked vertebra, so I get considerable back pain. I also have documented (and photographed) intertigo rashes. I've lost 173 pounds, will likely lose a few more. I have BC BS. I know they would have approved me to reduce the monsters pre-op, but how likely is it to get approval now? Anyone else approved by insurance?

Not that I had to have a breast reduction this time around, the basic issue is the amount of volume that the PS removes...with you now being a 38DDD (is that double dog damn??  LOL) I would think you would be able to get it covered, but it depends on what size you go down to.   Please remember that BC BS is not the same in all states.  What might be covered in one state is not necessarily covered in another state. Hi sweetie, I started at 34JJ and was approved, by the time I'd lost weight, I was much more saggy and a lot less fluffy, but the weight of my breast was still there, and they were just about down to my waist. I would imagine as long as you are still having back problems and rashes, you would have no problem being approved. At the time, I had Blue Cross of Ca, and the approval was no problem at all. I hope all goes well for ya. e:)
