Did you have a brachioplasty?
Starting to look into this stuff-- who did yours?
How much did it cost?
Are you pleased with the results?
Especially curious about those who lost a lot of skin--I probably have a 6 inch wide band of skin that needs to go!
Thanks!

Oh how exciting for you!! Ok yes I have had it done Aug. 8th will be a year ago. I am going to wear sleeveless shirts for the first time in my adult life and I'm 43. I had 4 inches taken off of each arm. I for the most part am thrilled about the out come. But I still have a little bag left on my arms which is a bit disappointing for me but I'm the only one that would notice. I have a family history of big arms so have always suffered from this. So when surgery was done they were so so tight and I was flying high with the results but as the swelling went down the loosened up a bit. My surgern is the top rated in his feild in our area so I had the best but like he said you never know for sure about the lasticity in the skin - I could have a revision but I'm pretty happy for the most part - scars are down to the elbow area but can't see unless I raise my arms and the scars are lighting up. The cost was $6000.00 out of pocket. Oh the only thing I have to tell you is I did all kinds of research thought I had it all covered but the day of surgery I had one suprise - IV in the neck freaked me out!!!! I think that is the main reason I won't revise!! Oh and it has taken 9 months to get the full feeling b ack in my fore arm on the left side. Good luck - let me know if you have any questions - Short sleeves can't wait!!!!
Did you have any bleeding problems post-op? I have an arm that is constantly either oozing or gushing old blood (from hematomas) and it's getting really annoying. I have to keep wearing dark clothing and had to leave work early one day due to my shirt being soaked with blood.

I had mine done by Dr. Capella in NJ last July. He was awesome!! I had arm lift/breast lift together and it cost 10,500 so I;m not sure how much the arm lift was alone. I also had implants by him and am scheduled for my LBL July 2nd.. SOO excited!
It was the best decision and although my scars still haven't faded to white in about 70% of the scar, I look and feel fabulous... and wear them proudly and they are fairly covered when my arms are down. Here's my pic on my dr's site..

Good luck with your decision!

I had brachioplasty, done by John LoMonaco, MD, on January 18. I thought I had a lot of excess skin but others didn't. I suppose it's all perspective. You can see before and after pics on my profile.
I absolutely love the way clothes fit now but I hate the scars (although the scars aren't as bad as the excess skin). My surgeon's fee for brachioplasty was $3,100 but I had other procedures done at the same time. I think my total for everything (surgeon's fees, hospital, anesthesia, supplies, etc) for my second stage was about $15,000.
Best wishes,
Kim
I had it done 2 weeks ago. I don't know what the final results will look like since I'm still quite swollen. I had lipo with the brachioplasty, so it's taking awhile.
I'm glad the skin is gone but I am wondering if I'll need a revision, judging by what's left. I had mine done in Tijuana by Dr. Quiroz along with my BL/BA.
