Inner Thighs?

My inner thighs are turning into a mess! My last 40-50 lbs is almost all in my thighs and butt.

Does the lower body lift help the inner thighs at all? Or is the medial thigh lift the only way to get any improvement?

I was hoping to avoid having the medial thigh lift, based on all the stuff I have read about it. I know I need a lower body lift..not to mention BL/BR, arms, TT.

I am actually considering stopping my weight loss before goal in order to avoid too much more inner thigh sagging.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

LBL did virtually nothing for my inner thighs. For inner, you will probably need a procedure focusing on that area. Best to go for a few consults though and get a profession opinion on what they can do for you. Best of luck!

HI!
Sorry to give you the bad news but the LBL does not help the inner thighs.  I too have A LOT of laxity, saggy, wrinkled skin all around my legs so I'll be having the Inner Thighplasty (long incision) in a few months.
I also thought about stopping my weight loss effort when all my skin got really saggy but then I quickly decided to stay on track and get healthy and then deal with the skin via plastic surgery.  It is far healthier for you to get to goal even if it means you have some saggy skin or you need surgery to correct it.  Don't cut yourself short by quiting.  Keep going!!!

Totally agree... I had a LBL and it only helps the outside of the thighs. But I also had the medial thigh lift at the same time and I had no issues. Because I had ALOT of saggy wrinkly skin I decided to have the full thigh lift later'

I hope all works out for you!

Joanne, my thighs have been the bane of my existance all of my life. I lost 100 lbs and they sag like crazy.

In 5 weeks I am having an LBL/MTL/BA/Brachio. I cant wait to have that thigh lift...I would much rather have the scar than the loose, wrinkley flesh.

Go ahead and lose your weight...all that you can and need to. Have whatever work is most important FIRST...you can always go back for more if/when you can.

BTW..many of us are going to or have gone to Dr. Sauceda in Mexico because A.) he is a truly gifted surgeon AND B.) you can get a whole lot more for your money in Mexico. Dont discount that possibility because it is out of the country. People from Canada, Hawaii, NY, Conn. and Tenn have gone there and they are just the ones I am aware of...I am sure there are many more.

Best of luck to you, Joanne!

Heather, are you going with Dr. Sauceda?  I'll be there for my surgery on 12/2.  Is someone going with you?

Heather, I will be home by then, I am flying out on 11/8 and having the surgery on the 9th. I will be there until 11/22 .

I think I saw others who mentioned being there in the same timeframe as you. You should give a shout out and see who is planning. Never hurts to get cozy with them beforehand!

Good luck. I look forward to YOU pics some day soon.

before WLS my legs were the nicest part of my body @ 270 lbs I wore short shorts well when I lost all my weight my legs went south horrible I was never going to wear shorts again. I had an inner thigh lift and I now love my legs again they are beautiful I am so pleased  with the results out of all my surgeries this was the most painful but not as bad as some people say, the first 3 days I was in pain but I would do it all again if I had to.
check out my pix
good luck Susan

Well, my experience is not like the others, I guess.  My circumferential flab-ectomy with lipo and a central abdominal incision lifted EVERYTHING.  It gave my butt a lift, my inner and outer thighs a lift, and even my privates a lift.  Everything moved UP and smoothed OUT.

This is a great question for the surgeon who does your reconstruction -- How will your individual results turn out, and what can you expect?  Each surgeon does his or her own procedure with individual consequences and benefits.

Now, my inner thighs are not SMOOTH by any means.  But they are about 90% better.  So the best suggestion is to ask the person who's gonna do the cutting.
