Panni info?

What is a good web site that goes into the different cuts for removing panni etc?

I had an appointment with a local surgeon and was pre-approved for a panni removal; I also have a PS consult next week.  I just know at the first appointment with the regular surgeon, I blanked and didn't ask a lot of questions about what he was going to do other than if he could get rid of my muffin top.  Which he said he could with 2 small incisions. (I don't care about scars since I have no plans to ever wear a bikini).  I'm going to need to make a decision next week and I want to get more "bang for my buck", which I think I might with the regular surgeon.
Thanks
Doreen

you may get more bang for your buck with a general surgeon but you will get better results with a board certified PS. and a better scar most PS don't use staples on the incision line, also ask the PS about your muffin top usually depending on how much has to be removed they cut you vertically from below the breast to the BB called anchor cut or fleur de lis, and ask about your belly button
Think of it like you need to get your house rewired(electrical) would you want a handyman to do it or a licensed electrician.
and you are already pre- approved,  just make sure you get the letter from insurance saying you are pre- approved
only you can make your choice
Good Luck

Just remember there is a big difference between a panni removal and an tummy tuck. Because a panni only imroves the bottom of the stomach, and anchor cut isn't an option.

I would ask some very SPECIFIC questins about exactly HOW he thinks he can get rid of a muffin top with "2 small incisions".  I cannot imagine where those two small incisions would be placed such that he could get the proper contour with two small incisions... unless you just ahve a small amount of excess skin.   Ask him for pictures of other patients who have had this done, or -- better yet -- to show you by pinching the skin on your belly in the areas where the two small incisions would be so you can see for yourself.

I have never heard of a panni-removal-only being anything except a hip to hip incision down low along the bikini line... so, as far as I know (and I am certainly no expert, but did a lot of research before my PS), there are no different cuts for just a panniculectomy.  TT's, however, are another matter... there are several options depending on where your trouble areas are, etc.

Thanks I just wanted to make sure  I had all my info before my next visit.  As far as the muffin top, it's more like 2 flaps of skin below breasts and above waist that just need to be cut off and I think the 2 incisions would work.  Besides the panni, those 2 flaps of skin bother me the most, since they are all I see when I have a tighter shirt on. I have another appt with that surgeon and I have one this week with another for a 2nd opinion. I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my surgery.
