tummy tuck cost in MI

Per the dr. I saw it would not be covered by insurance even though I have up to 10 lbs of skin to come off and I have some "welts" on my waist it's still considered cosmetic and not "bad enough" to be covered.    I look in the mirror and want to scream but I know there are people out there with way more issues/problems then me.  I asked about the lower cost (I was very surprised) and was told it's all in what area of the state you're in.  Basically the dr's fee is the bulk of the $7250 for his service and then the hospital's at "cost".
