Gee, an infection under the skin can be bad. Please consider seeing another doctor or maybe even going to hospital emergency room if you don't get better RIGHT away. You probably have a great doctor but a second opinion (in a hospital that has regular monitoring and inspections) could be a good thing. You may need to get on a IV drip especially if area stays swollen or starts to swell.

Cyndy - oh my goodness! I am so glad that you went to the doctor right away and got some medicine to combat that infection!! I'm sure that was very scary. I had two of my drains leak at the site they were inserted and one was from the tube getting kinked. Not hard to have happen when you have so many tubes to start out with!
