Update, 5 days post TT

I had my full TT with muscle repair on Monday around lunchtime. I came home Tuesday morning. So far the pain hasn't been too bad at all, and I am already down to taking pain meds at night only. I am down 4 pounds from the night before surgery.

I have been able to eat, sleep, and poop okay. Lol. The only things that REALLY hurt are laughing and coughing. I can get up and down and use the bathroom alone. I really hate the compression garment though, and I am stuck in it for a whole month... It rides up into my boobs and into my thighs..my drains will come out Monday- they are barely producing anything anymore. I cannot wait to take a shower after they come out! I will post pics at that point too..

Thanks to everyone for answering all my questions and being there over the past couple of years, lol.. Glad I went through with it this time!

Glad everything is going well for you. Sorry about the compression garment not sitting right. I actually loved mine and liked wearing it and wore it longer than I had to for the comfort it gave me.

I wore abdominal  binder for the first month and then compression corset with stays and firm compression briefs for month 2.  Just got the OK yesterday to go without them.

My recovery was rough for the first 10 days - I had brachioplasty, too, at the same time as fleur de lis tummy tuck with body resculpting.

At 2 months out, my tummy still "aches."  I do have a complication of tissue necrosis leaving an open wound that heals rather slow.  Still have some stitches working their way up and out, too.

I'm so happy with results.  So worth it.

Best wishes.

Sounds like your recovery is going super smooth! My LBL/BL was just a few days before yours (mine was on Wednesday 7/20) and I am still taking pain meds every 4-6 hours.

But I am super jealous that you can poop OK!!  LOL  I was stopped up until yesterday and those were some of the most painful hours of my life (and I have had many surgeries!!) !!  :(

I'm 50/50 on my compression garment.  I hate that it itches and rubs on the incisions unders my breasts - but I do feel more 'secure' and am less swollen when I wear it..

Can't wait to see pics!

I was so scared of pooping! Lmao.. I think it was easier because of not being on the drugs. As or the garment.. The Velcro bothers my crotch.. And it makes my back hurt.. But when it's off to change dressings my tummy feels worse. Hopefully there will be a happy medium when I can switch to a different kind!

Maybe try wearing a cotton tank top under the binder. If you are like me I didn't wear underwear so the tank top did go lower over the mons area which helped w/ the velcro touching that area.

I can't wait to try this. I am not allowed to wear anything under it until the drains come out.. No tanks, no panties! Monday can't come fast enough, lol..
