For those who have been following along - I had a LBL on June 21. I'm now 50 days out from the procedure and had my official last scheduled follow-up appt. Healing wise - I've done great with the incision, etc.
Unfortunately, as I have mentioned 14 days post-op my saddlebags were back like I'd never had anything corrected. Ugh!!
Today my ps and I decided for round 2 to fix what didn't work the first time. He will be doing lipo on the areas and then lifting up to the original surgical incision. He is waiving all of his fees and since it will be done outpatient - the cost isn't too bad. Would I like to not have to pay anything - sure! But I also know that he will aggressively tackle this part and I will be much more satisfied with the final outcome. Right now I'm a size 10 right above my hips and a size 12 at my hips so you can only imagine why I want this done. The loose skin is driving me crazy - ha!
Surgery is now scheduled for Dec. 27 which is my six month healing mark (as soon as I could have anything done). He assured me that the recovery time will be much less than the LBL and there will be no drains involved!
.
Just wanted to post this to encourage anyone who doesn't quite get the results they wanted the first time to be pro-active and keep the communication open with your ps.

Carmen - right now my pictures wouldn't be happy ones. My stomach is super-flat, etc. but my hips are over 3" wider than right above them. The would definitely look like the "before" kind. But hopefully I will have some AWESOME pictures to share after my revision!!!

I just have to share that today after my appt. for the first time in over five weeks I feel better - knowing that my original ps outcome at two weeks isn't the end result. I can wait (although it will be hard****il I get to the six month mark to try one more time to "fix" my saddlebags.
