Hi- I have had my TT and will have breasts and arms done in Dec.

But I can tell you what my surgeon told me. I have very bad ptosis. My breasts were very big and now are very long and stretched out. To get the best result, they would have to completely remove and relocate my nipple/areolar complex. That would involve cutting nerves...so...you know what that means.

If yours aren't bad, they won't have to completely remove, and they can preserve the nerves.

Someone else will come along and post who has experience already with this issue.

Good luck!

I'm 9 weeks out from my breast lift. My nipple sensation is good and no different than it was pre-op. My breasts were in bad shape, so they had to be lifted a lot (you can see pics on my profile page, if interested).

My nipples were not "detached" in the lift...the were left alone and the skin removed - then repositioned.

I'm 4 weeks out, and, while I wouldnt' say I have no sensation - I certainly don't have "normal" sensation.  For most of the last 4 weeks - if I brushed up against something, my breasts would HURT!!  Almost like they were hyper sensitive.  I would also get erect nipples at the drop of a hat.  My "headlights" were always on.  BUT I didn't get the normal "sexual" kind of sensation from my nipples, if that makes sense.

Things are changinge a bit this week - seems like a bit of that normal sensation is coming back and the pain in not so severe...but it's still weird.

I'm 7 weeks out from my lift with implants and mine are completely numb still.  Very frustrating. They said it would be a 2% chance I wouldn't recover feeling.  I'm hoping it comes back with time.

Feeling came back around 4 weeks out.  They are just as sensitive as they were before surgery and were totally removed and reattached.  I never got the zingers that others talked about.

I am 1 1/2 weeks out from Breast lift/Implants and I get the "zinggers" and my nipples are pretty numb.  My left breast hurts a lot if I reach for something to fast...kinda like a stich is ripping or something...anyone had that experience?

Yes. I had to be real careful at least a month reaching for anything after my bl. And my right arm could extend further than my left for a while. 9.5 weeks out now and things are pretty good now.

Just had my BL yesterday and when the doc came in this morning he ran his pen over my nipples and I realized that they are hypersensitive. No numbness here!  But it does vary with each individual. My has severe ptosis and he was very concerned at what the outcome would be which is why he decided to do only BL first and to wait a few months for augmentation. I am very swollen and sore but other than the surgery went very well. I am only taking a week off and hopefully will not overdo it.
