My labs look much improved and I'm ready for surgery now!!  Now I'm shifting from excitement to nervousness about the recovery...just like we all do!  LOL

Just worried about how the swelling will affect my carpel tunnel.  It doesn't normally bother me but I remember in the last stages of pregnancy the swelling really caused it to act up.

I wonder if I will have that instant gratification like I did with the apron being gone. I'm sure its not as dramatic but I wonder if I will be able to tell right away that things look better.  Since they all say I have the worst case of deflation that they have ever seen....I guess I will be able to tell right away that the girls are better! LOL

Oh and you know that I'll be looking forward to hearing all about it!

Hopefully we don't remember all the gorey details. I've paid this anestesiologist big bucks to take care of that.

I'm so happy for you. You have put in the time and work to maximize the success of your P.S. Your procedure is going to be great, in part to you doing "your part". Whether your Surgeon says it or not, as a professional he finds it gratifying to help someone that is being proactive in doing everything in their power to assist in a positive outcome. You have truly made the most of your transformation.
Best wishes

My biggest concern was being ready for the holidays...not for the Christmas celebration but because I need to be logging 20 miles a week in order to properly prepare for the full marathon I plan to run in April.  :)  I'm a freak what can I say!

Thanks!!!  I have worked so hard.  I even tried lifting weights to keep from doing the skin removal but unless I pump up the guns to a freakish proportion it just wasn't going to happen.  I am so thankful to great surgeons like Dr. Sawan who took my apron off to Dr. Hein who will get rid of these bat wings and yank the girls up! LOL  I have run my last 5K race with the skin flapping in the finish line photo!!!!

I went to my primary doc and he knew how important the surgery was to me and knew that just taking pills would take way to long.  He ordered iron infusions.  I did 5 of these infusions over 14 days and then had to wait 10 days to have the lab drawn again.  Each infusion was basically a 15 minutes IV push of iron into my vein.  So no upset stomach problems or anything.
