Hope everyone is having a great week and getting ready for Christmas.     2 1/2 weeks till that big day.    Today is my middle son's 26th birthday !!  Happy Birthday Shawn.    I celebrated it with him last night at Teen Challenge.    Grateful that my son decided to do something and get help for his heron addiction before it was too late.   Yesterday was the funeral of a 23 yr. old young man who had a amazing future ahead of him who died of a drug overdose.   This young man was in the church youth group with 2 of my 3 sons.     Grateful that my son is back on the right track now or that could have been him laying in that casket yesterday.    Grateful for my life and health, family and friends.    My Faith and answered prayers.    Grateful that I am no longer a "food addict" and I try to keep my food addiction under control.   Grateful for support groups, Obesity Help, the message boards and YOU !!!  Grateful for my WLS and all the choices today and grateful for second chances.  PLEASE share with us if you wish what you are grateful for today.   Have a blessed day !!

  Good Morning Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good week.    Mine has been rather sad.   A young man who was 2 of my son's friends was found dead in a tent near a college campus on saturday.    I went to his visitation last night ( His Momma was my babysitter when my boys were little ).     Prayers needed for this mother.     Her son died of drug overdose and she too is a addict.    She was not present at the visitation last night.    I am going to try to go talk to his Momma today before his funeral this afternoon.   I won't be attending it due to going to visit my son who also had a drug addiction but God has delivered him out of that addiction.    I am SO grateful today for my son being drug free.    I am so grateful for my Faith and prayers that the big man upstairs answers for us all.   Grateful for my life and health.    Grateful for my heavenly father using me to touch lifes through him and give people hope when they feel like there is NO hope in their lives.   I am NOT trying to get all preachy on everyone so please don't think that.    I respect everyone's feelings but I am just in a sad mood today.  On a pleasant thought.....tomorrow is my son's 26th birthday who is in Teen Challenge ( for his drug addiction ).    I am SO grateful that my son is now drug free and has a bright future ahead of him.     SO grateful that we adopted him as a infant knowing that his parents were drug addicts.    Grateful for all 3 of my sons and my husband.    Grateful for ALL the Second Chances that come our way in our life.   If you believe in prayers....please pray for the family of Darwin Cox as they prepare to say their final goodbyes today.    I can't imagine how difficutl that will be for them.     Have a blessed day and I am SO sorry to be so down today.

Hope everyone is looking forward to a amazing week.    I know I am.   My middle son will be turning 26 yrs. old on wednesday.   Can't believe that my son's are getting to be that age.  LOL   Guess that means Mom is going to have to get older too.    LOL   I am SO grateful for all 3 of my sons and particularly the changes that THIS one has made in his life.   He has gone from being a herion addict to feeling like God is calling him to be a preacher.    SO grateful for my life and health, for my WLS and all the choices for surgeries today.    Grateful for my Faith and answered prayers.    Grateful for God working in my 3 son's lives and for a bright future for everyone of them.    Grateful for my husband's job and my home and all the blessings that have been bestowed on my family and myself.    Grateful for Obesity Help, the message boards, support groups and many many other things that this list can go on and on forever.    PLEASE share with us if you will what you are grateful for today.    Have a blessed day today and a blessed week.
