Katie,
Sorry I have been swamped at work just like Kim.  I am also in the process of moving my office from one town to another, getting kids back in school, and transporting them to extracurricular activites.  I haven't been on much either.  I plan to get back on and participate more in the discussions.  Lord knows I need all the support I can get.  Hopefully things will slow down in a few weeks once I have moved.

You are so welcome.   I figured you knew the rules but thought I would remind you.   Doesn't hurt for any of us to be reminded.   LOL   I still cook way too much food myself.   Seems like after almost 6 yrs. I would remember.   LOL  It's OK...if you cook too much.   It can always be frozen and used at a later date or lunch tomorrow.    Good luck to you on your continued journey.

First off....have you had a fill yet?    If not I would call my doctor and get one scheduled.    Second off....stop drinking and eating at the same time.    Seems you know what you are doing wrong by what you have said.    DO NOT put anything to drink by your plate when you eat and don't order anything to drink if you eat out.    Eat with a childs ( small ) spoon and fork to limit the size of your bites.    Lay your fork or spoon down between bites and count to 25 or 30 when you are chewing before you swallow.    Remember to wait 30 minutes after you eat to drink anything and do the same....no drinking 30 minutes before meals.    You can start losing again.   Also If you are NOT exercising or walking.....start doing that and I am sure your weight will start moving downward soon.   Good luck to you.

Katie....Tom is right.   I tend to forget about everyone being so very busy during the summer months with their children being home.   My youngest is almost 21 and seems to do his own thing most of the time so I tend to forget about people who have little one's.   I tend to agree with Tom about the smaller boards.   I love them that way.   You really get to know the people you are visiting and asking questions to and learn to think of them as extended family members.    Trust me....my husband will tell you if any of my WL friends need advice or help I am here for them pretty much 24/7.    Hang in there.    I will answer questions for you if I can even though I have never been banded.   Have a wonderful week.

I check every day (or at least every other day). I've seen this trend a lot. In the Summer the boards "slow" down because folks are off doing "summer stuff".

I agree we may not be as active at the other boards, but that's what I LOVE about this board. Your question(s) aren't overlooked or "lost" in the bombardment of posts.

Know we're here for you.
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom

Hello everyone, Im writing to you after five months from having gastric banding. I havent lost any weight, but i realize its my own fault because i drink with each bite of food i eat.  does anyone have advice based on their experience with learning not to drink and to eat slower?
