  Good Morning Everyone,

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is ready to start the new week.    We ALL have so very much in our lives to be so grateful for.    No matter how large or how small they may be.    Being Grateful is something that we should be everyday.    Today I am so grateful for Obesity Help and all the wonderful message boards they have......grateful for all the wonderful people here always willing to help others in need.     Grateful for my WLS and all the available choices of surgeries.    Grateful for my family, life and health.    Grateful for support groups that help to keep us on track and give us much needed knowledge to keep us doing what we should do to be healthy.    Grateful for all the friends ( both online and in person ) that I have made because of OH.    Grateful for the upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La.  Sept 9 -10.    PLEASE share with us what you are grateful for today.   Have a blessed day !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

You will only find support here (at least in this forum)..I kinda felt the same way when I was in the other forums before my surgery. I love my band and all the people here are very supportive! Hang in there!!!

I've been perusing a lot of the boards, esp the main board, and I've noticed that just as much judgment happens as support when it comes to the types of surgeries chosen.  And maybe I'm being too sensitive, but it seems like the band takes the most crap.  I came here for support, not criticism, but honestly, I haven't been overly welcomed.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Welcome, April!  I just had my band put in three days ago.  It's been a long time coming, so I am really excited.  Good luck in your upcoming surgery!  I hope all goes smoothly for you.

I know you will be able to "spring back" to where you were. You know have another incentive to do this - a new born child. If nothing else keep you focused, think of seeing your child's child's child!!

Know we're here for you.

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Glad to meet you April.  I know you must be nervous.  Everyone is.  This is a huge lifestyle change, but I believe you will be very pleased.  I had my band surgery in May of this year.  I love it.  You have accomplished a big goal:quitting smoking.  Great job.  Good luck to you April.  I look forward to hearing about your journey.
