Yes, I agree.  The weight just flys off so easily in the beginning and then you have to work for it.  The closer I get to goal the harder I have to exercise!!!

I know I have to bump up my exercise because I am within 12 pounds or so of my goal. They said since I am so close it would be harder to lose cuz my body has gotten used to the protein which in the beginning(especially) was what was aiding in the weight loss. I have days , too, when I can feel full after I eat the right amount and then days when I could eat anything you put in front of me. When this occurs I realize I am probably not drinking enough water..64 oz is a lot, but, it helps keep you full. And I have been dehydratewd in the last few days....You will get through this plateau...I promise!

Chelsea,
I am so glad to hear how great you have done since your surgery.  I believe you will get off 50 before your vacation.  I understand what you are talking about in regards to counting calories and working out.  I have week that I work out 3 x a week and then today I was supposed to go work out and I just sat in my chair after work.  I couldn't get in gear.  I too have days where I eat too much like crackers.  I just get on these kicks and I regret it.  I am supposed to go for my second fill this Friday.  My doc set a goal for me to lose 6 lbs.  I don't think I will make it.  I am finding that I really have to work hard at this.  Just keep spreading the word about the realize band and its success.  Keep up the good work.

The only way I jump started my weight loss and continued to lose weight is to (pardon my french) not half-ass the workouts.  Go at full force.  I workout 9+ hours a week.  I workout till sweat is driping from every pore and my shirt is one big sweat stain.  It's the only way I was able to lose 150 lbs.

Topic: Plateau Advice?

Hey everyone,

I've hit a major plateau..I've been yo-yoing the same 5 pounds for months now. My last fill was in Feburary. Most days I get full rather quickly but am hungry again about an hour later...other days I'm starving and just feel like I could eat all day. I'm not really sure what's going on. I know I need another slight fill but my next appointment isn't until September 30th. At this point, I'm just seeking some advice on what I should maybe do to try to bust out of this plateau. And seeking some advice on what I should be eating on a daily basis. I've started exercising a few times a week hoping that will help some but I start to get discouraged when I dont see the scale go down. Any help/advice would be great. Thanks everyone.
