I called the surgery center today and i have to go on a 12 month diet and lose atleast one pound a month and keep it off. It seems really silly for 12 months I have to do that for. I also have to attend a required info session on the surgery. Also she is sending me a packet so I can start this diet right away, and some information I need to ask my insurance company. I am 150 pounds overweight myself, and they should atleast consider this into the lengh of diet! But I heard the time goes by fast, I just hope I can maintain to keep the weight off for this period! Thanks for your information!

This coming sunday is our monthly support group meeting in Keller, Tx. We meet at Carroll Watkins Driving School ( Keller Plaza next to Dollar General ) 303 N. Main St. Keller, Tx. 76248
We meet from 3:30 - 4:30 and the date is Feb. 12th. Everyone is welcome to attend whether you are pre op or post op and no matter what surgery you have had or considering. Please let me know if you are planning on attending. Have a blessed day.

Good Monday Morning Everyone,
How was your weekend? Hope it was a good one. Yesterday I baked 9 dozen cookles to send to my son who is 300 miles away in Teen Challenge. I plan to get them in the mail to them today so hopefully they will enjoy them on wednesday night after their chapel. We ALL have so many things in our lives to be grateful for. Although I doubt seriously that we give it much thought. I think most of us ( I am also gulity of this ) seem to take things that come our way for granted. Today I am grateful for my Faith. I have faith in a higher power that I call God, have faith that choices that I make in my life and for my family are good ones, Faith that my son who is in Teen Challenge will come out of the program in August and be drug free for the rest of his life. I also have Faith in my WLS that I will be healthy and live a long productive life. I could go on and on but I will stop with this. PLEASE share with us if you would like what you are grateful for today. Have a blessed day.

I am so excited!!! After completing my 6 months of Dr. supervised diet and exercise, sleep study, EGD, and psych eval my insurance approved my Realize Band surgery just 6 days after the doctor submitted it!!
I am scheduled for surgery March 2, 2012 and am so excited and nervous!! I joined this website to get info and support along the way and after surgery! Excited to get to know you all!

I think most insurance companies go by your highest weight but they may start the count from when you see the surgeon, so another thing you should ask them, when do they start the count. If it starts when you see the surgeon just don't lose too much during the PCP diet. I didn't have anything to worry about cause I was waaaay over weight.
