Revision Surgery

Hi everyone.  I have to undergo revision surgery on Tuesday. In November we discovered an ulcer, and as a direct result, I ended up with a stricture on my esophagus.  My doctor tried to dilate in March, but my pouch perforated, and the next day, I was so sick. As it turned out, my gall bladder turned gangrenous. So, I still have a stricture and throw up nearly everything solid.

I have heard that the revision surgery is rather difficult.  Can anyone fill me in as to what I need to look forward to?

I'm becoming half the person I was...but I'm also becoming twice the woman!

Depends on what type of revision you are having, there are several ways to revise.

Hi,

I'm confused but I am not a Dr It seems to me if you were diagnosed with gangrene not to mention a perforated pouch you would be rushed into surgery. I must be missing something...

What kind of revision are you having? I had RNY to DS revision in December t has not been easy but I am doing better everyday.

Good luck to you

Whitney
