I am on vacation this week so I figured I can start the thread. Next week is back to work so I hope others pick up the baton and start it then!

I am about to go to the gym and do a workout. My workout time keeps getting encroached upon but this is a commitment I made to myself and I really want to keep it so I'm going. Then I'm coming home to clean my house then I have an essay I have to write for my grad school application that I need to just get done so I will work on that.

Eats:

Pre-B: protein hot chocolate (15g)

B: Protein shake of some sort (might try this mochaccino that I have--and btw...this week's protein shake recipe is up on my blog)

S: pre-workout--10 multi-grain flax tortilla chips

S: during work-out -- Chocolite bar

S: post-workout -- 1/4 bag of pretzels

L: Salad w/ chicken, spinach, field greens, iceberg, carrots, and diced pears w/ creamy caesar dressing

S: PB&J Protein Frosty

S: PB nosh (about 2 tbsp)

D: omelette (1 egg yolk + 3 egg whites w/ turkey pepperoni, mozz cheese, spaghetti sauce and fresh grated parmesan)

LNS: strawberry protein pop

1,698 cals, 64g fat, 121 carbs, 30 fiber, 172g protein

Coffee
S: 1/2 Twisted protein bar
S: banana
L: 3 oz. tuna, 6 crackers
S: apple
then leaving for Mackinac, will have walnuts, cheese, apple in the car to munch on.
Plan on having dinner when we arrive, going out...probably to the Key Hole Bar/restaurant. I made my mind up right now, won't even look at the menu. It will be steak and cottage cheese.

Dark meat generally works better in the beginning. Stay away from chicken skin. That shizz still makes me ill. I couldn't do breasts until about month 4 and then only a little bit. I used to make a little quesadilla out of a taco sized low carb tortilla. I'd have to give 2/3 of it to my daughter!

The dark meat did the trick!  It went down and stayed very nicely.  And I totally agree about the skin.  It used to be my favorite part...but I really didn't even want it.  Your quesadilla idea sounds delish.  So far I have been REALLY conservative with carbs....even the low carb "bread"  stuff.  Honestly, I have been really working the protein to the max...but I think I am ready to add some whole wheat type carbs.  I have not been able to eat a lot, so I have really been trying to get the most out of my "appetite" buck.  I got some of the Arnold Thins....and am excited to see how that sits.  Might have to toast it with some peanut butter or cream cheese....oh the options!

We did DDP too!  I will only be 8 weeks out....so I am sure my eating will be somewhat limited.  I don't do chicken or turkey....they really don't agree with me....but I can do steak...go figure!!!

I have not tried sugar....and really don't plan to either.  I figure it this way...Disney is one of the very few places that the chef will actually come out and talk with you about your dietary needs and cook specifically for you....so I am going to take full advantage!  :-)

I thought about trying sugar to see if I dumped or not....(just don't want the surprize dump where you had no idea a sauce or something had suger) but decide against it.  I think I want to keep that a mystery for as long as I can!  And since the chefs will make sure I am not eating sugar in my meals...I am all good to go!  I kind of have to chuckle though...cuz the DDP is free to us....good thing!  I would never get my $40 a day in...but then again, hubby might just get his $40 and mine in!!!  LOL!!!
