Most surgeons have a limited lists of foods or liquids you can have during the first few weeks. There is a reason for this. They want your surgery to heal as quickly as possible and some food can irritate the surgical areas. Also, fluid diets during the first week are commonly done too. Stick to the list your surgeon provided to avoid any issues. Liquid diets are common for the first 7-10 days and about the only thing you can have to chew on is SF popsicles. DAVE

I was still on full liquids.  Popsicles, broth, jello, Crystal light, diet V-8 Splash, Propel and my protein shakes.  I did start my pureed at 7 days post-op.  Hopefully tomorrow they will OK for me to move onto the next phase.  I have done suprisingly well!

I'm glad to see you're back and seem to be doing well.  How are you feeling and are you having any problems, besides hunger?

I am exactly one week post-surgery today.  Since last Sunday, I have been on pureed foods (3 oz, 3x/day), with protein shakes and LOTS of liquids in between those 'meals'.
