What was you first pureed meal?
Surgery was March 16 and I haven't eaten anything but liquids since March 1. So I'm hoping beyond hope that Saturday morning will be my first pureed meal. SF, yogurt and creamed soups are getting very old.
1. Do you remember what you were wanting by the time you were able to eat pureed?
and
2. Did you have any issues with it getting stuck or feeling sick?
Thanks for sharing!

I had Cream of Wheat in the hospital Day 2 after surgery. Since it was only day 2, I had not even thought about eating anything at all let alone what I would want to eat, and I had no trouble with it whatsoever. In 3.5 years, I have never had anything get stuck, only felt queasy after eating perhaps a dozen times, and have never vomited because of the food I ate (only vomited 4 times... either when I ate too much or ate something dry too fast).
MOST people have little trouble eating as long as they take things slowly and intrpoduce new foods slowly. Unfortunately, the impression here is the opposite because it is the people who DO have trouble who post for help or support.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I had cream of wheat and then a little later I had some pureed mashed potatoes. I wanted to be really safe. It went down well. I had surgery the day before you. The only thing I found that didn't go down well was pureed corn. I also drank too much of a protein shake too fast.
Cottage cheese, applesauce, and refried beans are good.

My go-to pureed meal was LF Ricotta Cheese (seasoned with italian seasoning and parmesan cheese) with marinara sauce on top and melted mozarella. A noodle-less lasagne.
