OT: Mirena Question for the ladies

Ladies who have had or currently have the Mirena IUD.. How long did you bleed after it was inserted. I am going absolutely crazy because I had mine inserted over two weeks ago and I an still having a full blown period. I can't taker this anymore!!! Argghhh!!!!

I would definitely call your Doctore. I have had two Mirena IUDs put in (one after each child) and have never bled at all with either one. My current Mirena has been in for three years with no problems. I don't want to scare you....maybe I was just lucky but I would just give your doctor a call.

I had a month long period and then spotting for 4 months! I finally gave up and had it taken out! It just wasnt for me.

I dont remember but I know it varies from person to person... I stopped getting my period but afetr I had my RNY I got it again and now I get it every month very lightly.  I love it though - I have 1 more year before I have to replace it.  It is the BEST thing I have ever done

I am just like Johana I had mine inserted 2 years ago than never had a period and loved it!!! But after RNY surgery I bleed for 6 full weeks and now every month have one and have the worse PMS....When I got it inserted I just spotted for about a week. You may call your doctor just to be safe.

I bled a full 3-4 weeks and have spotted heavily for 4 months now--Dr said it wasn't an issue until 6 months...But if it concerns you by all means contact the Dr--that's what they get the big $$ for!

Well at least I know its normal..... I'm just so fed up with it!

I had mine  inserted the same day i had my RNY and it was the last day of my period. I bleed for 4 weeks. hen it stopped. I spot from time to time.

I had my period for about 2 weeks but it wasnt full blown...Now my period is only 2 or 3 days super super light...Im so glad I have it! 

 I don't remember having much at all, but I think it can really depend on where you were in your cycle. I have had mine in for 3 years now and I get occasional spotting, that's the only way i know its time for my period, I love the thing! Hope you get it worked out nothing like bleeding like you just had a baby!
