SPLENDA--it didnt start out as a POLL, but I guess it is
I refuse to use Splenda (which is Aspertame) because it does cause alot of health issues. I have family members who cannot have anything with Splenda, makes them horrible sick.
I agree with Lora, I try to use real butter, real sugar, full fat cheese etc. If want something sweet I do try to use the all natural Stevia as being a diabetic I need to keep the carbs low. You would be amazed at the products that are made with Splenda etc. I really is not a good product.
Just my two cents. Dont want to offend anyone.

I love Splenda. It is not Aspertame. That is eqaul and sweet-n-low. Splenda is a dirivative of real sugar.
SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener is unique among no-calorie sweeteners, with clear benefits. It has a clean, sugar-like taste without the bitter aftertaste of some other no-calorie sweeteners, such as saccharin and acesulfame-K.12-14 And unlike aspartame, it holds up to heat, so it can be used in cooking and baking.14
I like sweet things and this is a way I can enjoy them without the sugar.
I use it in tea the most.

Love Splenda - buy the 1000 packet boxes at Sam's and put it anywhere I'd want sugar - tea, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, expresso, etc. I never likes Sweet n Low so I was so glad to find Splenda and know it was more natural. I think it is more a matter of personal taste between Splenda, Stevia, Truvia, etc.
One word. The Splenda brown sugar is half regular sugar so beware and cautious. I use it on baked sweet potato but just be careful. Incidentally I use real butter and full fat salad dressings so I may be a bad influence!
Hugs,
Lana

I likely use way too much of it - in my yogurt, my tea, my shakes, with fresh fruit, in oatmeal (though I rarely eat oatmeal anymore).
It's not hurting me now though, and I think if it helps me keep going and less wandery looking for sweet fulfillment, then it is OK for now... when I start to plateau or stall I will have a look at it.

I don't even bother to buy it. I use the real sugar. I don't use enough to be a problem I rarely drink anything sweetened **** tea during the summer, but that's about it) and rarely use it for anything I need to cook. I do bake cookies etc. on occasion but I don't bother with the fake stuff then either as I don't eat most of what I do bake (my neighbors either love me cause I'm handing out cookies etc. or they hate me because now THEY have to exercise more. LOLOLOL) My kids love the occasional cookie but aren't huge sweet eaters so while we love making the cookies and decorating them, we rarely eat them.
I don't like all the stuff in the artificial sweetners truthfully, so the little amount of real sugar is in my opinion actually better for my family. I'd rather have a teaspoon of real sugar than all the crap in the sweetners. But like I said that's just MHO.
