cheese? eggs?

What is the concensus on cheese?  My food binder doesn't say much about tolerance for cheese.... I know I'm not going to be eating it anytime soon with surgery tomorrow, but, I'd like to know for future reference.

So, are you able to tolerate cheese?

Same question on eggs.  Eggs are highly recommeded, and I love eggs...so are they pretty tolerable?

Thanks!

String cheese was on my list of "soft foods" I was able to start eating them about 2 weeks after surgery. Of course your program may be different.

Melted cheese was included in my pureed foods.  Ricotta baked with spaghetti sauce & mozzarella and refried beans with melted cheddar were my favorites early out.

ETA - eggs can be tricky.  Some people tolerate them, some don't.  And, you may tolerate them cooked one way but not another.  I can still only eat 1 egg for a meal.

I tolerated eggs and low fat cheeses fine.  I got sick of eggs tho, lol.

Soft scrambled eggs with cheese were approved for me about two weeks out.  I frequently add a little shredded cheese to my meals, refried beans, chili, salads, eggs, etc.  I tolerate both just fine....never had a problem.  But I may be different than most.  I have not found anything that I do not tolerate (but I am sticking to the rules - no sugar or carbs or fried foods).

I can do eggs as long as they are very moist, like turn them off just as they start to look half done and put the lid on and let em set up, I toss shredded cheese on top when i turn it off.
I have found so many way to eat eggs and cheese in the last 5 yrs...lol
As for milk I can only handle skim or fat free now but could only do 2% pre op so no big deal.
Like another post said, it all depends on how they are made and for my little pouchy as to what mood it is in one day eggs are fine , another they may feel like i swallowed rocks and come right back up.
