Snacking - Can't Quit Peanuts
So when i eat, I fill up really quickly. We all do, I know. I can get about 3 regular sized shrimp down and be quite full. But when I snack on peanuts, I throw down. They dont fill me up at all, and I love them so much. I find myself popping several at a time quite frequently. I like them becuase they have the protein, but they have a good amount of fat as well. Anyone else have this problem, I can throw down a half cup of peanuts and not be full. Anyone know of another salty high protein snack I can munch on that would be better for me?
Sadly, munching is probably not such a good idea. If you really crave the peanuts, measure out servings in individual baggies or containers and allow yourself one or two a day. Also, salt retains fluids, so it probably isn't that good either. I know the salty snack craving for myself, and I have had to put a stop to all of it for a while.
good luck.
good luck.
I don't do peanuts, but I love the salt & vinegar almonds. But what I do is put one almond in my mouth and first suck off all the flavoring. Then I roll it around in my mouth until I can easily peel off the skin. Then I scrape it againt my teeth to make a crude almond butter. Then I swallow. It can take me 2-3 minutes to eat one almond. But it keeps my mouth happy without distressing my pouch or my calorie count.
