Finally a protein powder I tolerated and ????
They have to list the ingredients in order based on the percentage of content, so even though they say have a samll amount of whey protein isolate, the vast majority of it is the crappy collagen protein that your body cannot absorb (and therefore empty calories!).
For the New Whey "bullets", for example:
New Whey Liquid Protein Ingredient Details:
67.4% Pure deionized water, 31.5% Actinase [patent pending blend of enzymatically hydrolyzed ( predigested) collagenic protein isolate, whey protein isolate and casein protein isolate], les than 2.0% of malic acid, Vitamins [ascorbic acid ©, niacin (B3), panthothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), riboflavin (B2), thiamin (B1), folic acid, biotin and cobalamin (B12)], natural flavors, acesulfame-potassium, sucralose, blue 1 and red 40.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Actually there has been debate about that. When I had my first surgery in 2002 it was thought that we could only absorb 30 grams at a time. Since then the concensus seems to be that we can absorb more then that, although some don't agree. I would go with what my NUT or program recommends.
As far as whole grains go, I stay away from things like pasta, bread, muffins, etc because they are trigger foods for me. I avoid all things with wheat because I seem to have a problem controlling wheat products. I do have some rye crackers that are wheat free to get in some whole grains and also oatmeal is a good source of whole grain. I am just very careful about trigger foods because I know that once I get started it is extremely hard to get a handle on it.

Not true. There are no definitive studies that support how much protein we can consume at one time. More importantly, you need to distribute your protein throughout the day to provide you body with a consistent source of amino acids.
So if you have to split your shakes that would be the reason for it. I regularly do between 30 and 40 grams in my shakes. But I get close to 160 grams per day also.

The problem with the muffins is that, although they have a small amount of protein, they take up a tremendous amount of space in a small pouch... and so the protein "Bang for the Buck", if you will, is way too small. I have learned to simply make and eat whatever toppings I would have put on a piece of bread or in a wrap or whatever. It might seem odd, but there is nothing wrong with eating just a tablespoon of PB covered with some jelly, or rolling up lunchmeat and cheese and just eationg it that way, or even eating pizza toppings (cheese, turkey pepperoni, ham, or some other protein, maybe some veggies) -- microwaved until hot in a bowl -- with a fork. It leave a LOT more room for protein and keeps you from eating too many carbs (even complex ones).

Try cheese pops.... It's a healthier alternative to popcorn and have protein.
Just take cheese in small amounts and melt them till crispy.
White cheese are better for you but I use all cheeses... Just be sure to get rid of as much grease as you can.
You can even use a sprinkling of different flavors, like nacho or ranch or bacon flavors or you can dust them with a flavored protein powder (sprinkle or dust before you cook them)
I use a mini muffin pan and fill the cups 1/2 with cheese, that helps them to 'pop' (get crispy and bubbly till the bubbles pop) and to stay uniform in shape and size, then just put them on a plate with an open paper bag or paper towels, to drain out the fat.
Yum mm mm mmy!!!!
