I know I shouldny weigh everyday but I do.  Im 2 weeks post op and I havent lost a pound for a week.  Is this normal?  Is it because Im not getting enough protein?  I get about 50g a day, Im trying to get up to 60 but I get so full, even drinking my protein shakes.

Everyone (or almost everyone) stalls out somewhere around weeks two through four

I lost ONE pound in week 2....and NOTHING after that until after week 8.... not an ounce.

Totally normal.... most don't stall as long as I did, but hey, I'm below goal today, so obviously I made it in spite of that horrible 5 weeks of not losing.

Yesterday was my 1 month mark from surgery. I lost about 14 lbs in the first 10 days and then did not start losing again until about a week ago. I lost alot in the beginning, then my body had to figure out what in the hell was going on. You hit a stall. It will move again. Just be sure to keep up your water and protein and you cant go wrong. It will happen. I promise you will probably stall out a few times over your journey!! Good luck

I only lost about 2 pounds between weeks 3 and 7.  I also found I wasn't getting enough calories in too. Stalling is normal.

That's exactly when I stalled - I didn't lose anything wks 2 and 3 - now 4 weeks out, I've managed to lose only ONE more pound! Well - at least it's moving in the right direction. Slowly, but in the right direction! It seems it's rather common. I can't give you anything past four weeks since that's where I am now - but I assure you - you're not alone! And it's ok!

Most days, I barely get 50g of protein - and after numerous calls to my nutritionist - he assures me it's OK at this point - I'll get to 60g soon enough.

I, too, obsess over the scale! It's terrible - I know I shouldn't - but I do! I can't help it - I always have. Old habits die hard, I suppose.

I do know that as long as I follow the plan, I will lose. Hang in there! It's getting better every day for me!

Ugh!  I'm right there with you!  I'm 6 weeks out and I've had a pretty steady weight loss of about 1 lb every 2 days.  Now nothing in 5 days!  I've even gone up a few ounces!  It is so frustrating!!  I think I'm doing everything right. Yesterday I added in  1/2 a protein shake twice a day since I think I may not be getting enough protein.  My husband thinks it's all about the exercise.  I exercise 3-4 times a weekfor 30-45 minutes--mainly fast walking.

So happy to see all the responses to this post.  I am 4 weeks out tomorrow and the scale hasn't budged in at least 2 weeks.  It can get very frustrating, however the thing that is keeping me sane  is that I have been losing lots of inches for sure!!!  We all seem to be in the same boat right now and maybe this post will help all of us relax and realize the stalling is NORMAL .  I work out at least 30 min a day, get in about 65 - 70 fluids, take my necessary vitamins, and eat anywhere from 70 - 85 protein in the day.  As long as I know I am doing everything I should be, then I am on the right track no matter what that darn scale says .  Have a wonderful rest of your day ladies!!!!  Sarah
