WHAT R U ALL EATING A MONTH OUT. I AM CRAVING A MEXI MELT FROM TACO BELL WITH THE MEAT AND CHEESE. I KNOW I CANT HAVE RED MEAT UNTIL 3 MONTHS OUT. SO NOW I AM ON CHICKEN AND FISH KICK BURN OUT TOTALLY. ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

 I know the diet is hell in the beginning but experiment with food.  Try some ground turkey extra ground with some low fat cheese on a whole wheat tortilla and make your own with less fat than taco bell.  I found out that after not eating that stuff after awhile that I didn't necessarily miss it as much as I thought I was.  Find Pouch Party for recipe ideas for all stages of post op, she has a great great library of stuff to look through.

your brain is craving it or maybe your taste buds, but your body is not.  don't load up on the fat.  get creative and rework your favorite foods into something low fat and healthy.  Experimenting is fun or search for recipes on Bariatric Foodie or Eggface.
