I was admitted in the hospital on saturday for dehydration and possible stricture because i was nausea and vomiting on monday i had a EGD with balloon dialiation everything was fine i was keeping liquids down until wednesday i started vomiting again so i had to have another EGD with dialation and now i am feeling fine. but the problem is i had surgery 03/22/11 i was 345 day of surgery on saturday 04/16/11 i was 308 when i came home from the hospital on 04/21/11 i was 323 i had gained 15lbs from all the fluid they pumped in me from being dehydrated and from the gas they bloated me with from the EGD....I AM OVER HERE FREAKING OUT....i have gained almost half my weight back, how long is it gonna take to get that extra water weight off...please help me i feel like im going backwards not forward.............PLEASE HELP

It can take a while for the fluid-gain to subside, but just keep on keeping on, you'll lose it and more besides.

Thanks LL i just feel like im going backwards i was doing so good and now i have to lose those 15lbs over again......I AM SO CRUSHED

You don't really have to LOSE those pounds again... they are water weight, not fat, and will go away on their own (along with some REAL weight).  In your head, don't even COUNT the water weight.

I was just on the hospital 3 days for the same thing and I'm 9 lbs heavier. ugh.... hang in there - it will go away

I was 14 lbs heavier last week after my hernia repair. I was depressed, too. That 14 lbs took me months to lose. Fortunately it was gone in about 4 days.
