Looking for an outstanding bariatric surgeon Katy, TX (or Houston)
I highly recommend Drs. Robert and Garth Davis (of Big Medicine fame) and their associate Dr. Tony Primomo at the Davis Clinic on Gessner just in front of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital.
Dr. Robert Davis did my surgery on 2-1-11, have lost 51 lbs. and had NO problems. The Davis Clinic is a recognized Center of Excellence. Their complication rate is less than1 or 2% and their mortaliity rate is 0%. These docs have done thousands of weight loss surgeries and really have it down. Follow their plan and instructions and one shouldn't have any problems. The hospital is well prepared for bariatric paitients. Seemed almost everyone on my wing was a bariatric surgery patient of these doctors. Best care I have seen in a hospital setting and I have been in many with family members over the past 20 years.
Your friend will not regret checking out the Davis Clinic. And it would be a breeze to get there on the Katy tollroad.

I concur, and so will Laura (also on this website). Dr. Garth Davis did my surgery. I had no surgical pain afterward and no complications. Also I was referred to the Davis clinic by a family doctor, an internist (specialist) who said Robert Davis was one of the best, if not the best, surgeons he's ever known. WLS is not an easy surgery, but Drs. Garth and Robert are extremely talented and well-thought of in the medical community. All the best.

Yep. Big Dr. Garth Davis fan here, too. Sometimes their staff is not the best at communication, but the few times I've had problems I just e-mailed him directly and whatever I needed was taken care of immediately. I'm 2.5 years out now and have had no complications.
Dr. Erik Wilson also has an excellent reputation. A good friend of mine had consults with both Davis and Wilson and used Wilson. She is also pleased with her choice.
