Protein Chips, Pretzels, etc. Opinion???

Egg Face and some others have had on their sites the different protein chips, snacks, pretzels, etc. and wondered what the thought is about them?  I have had a number of the different ones from BariWise and a couple other companies.  I liked them but ate them in moderation,  They usually avg. 10g protein for a serving.  They are not cheap - but they are quick and a pack was perfect when took them to a party when there was a lot of munchies.

So jusst wondering if you've tried any and what you think?

(as a side note - I don't have issues with sodium, in fact have been told to salt my food because my sodium runs a bit low from time to time, and carbs are to be included in myu food plan - typically I work hard to make sure they are complex)

So just wondering - have you tried any, any recommendations?

I get them from dietdirect.com.  There are other places that have them too but prices seem to be about the same.

My fave is the salt and vinegar chips!

I've got some really good ones they're called Better Balance.  My two favs are Cinnamon Toast Pretzel Sticks (1.5 servings; per serve - 120cals/5 fat/3 fiber/6 sugars/10 protein) & Crispy Parmesan Protein Chips (1.5 servings; per serve - 110cals/4 fat/3 fiber/0 sugars/10 protein).  I think I got them on Amazon.  I also like Kay's Naturals.

These are my favorite.  All of the grocery stores I shop at carry a variety of them, usually in the health food/diet section.

Slippery slope..snacking.. be careful..I try to eat only "green" snacks. Sugar snap peas, edamame, green beans etc.

Good Luck,

Michelle

I am too early out - can't eat those things yet - plus the chips help me get in my protein.

Planned snacking is a good thing -  it's mindful and important for matabolism.  I think there is a big dif between snacking and grazing.

I get mine from the doctor's office.  They are okay but I don't care for them.  I usually like to have a few bags around the house because they usually have 10 to 15 grams of protein, so in case i need a protein friendly snack, it's there.  Sometimes I add a tablespoon of salsa to mine and it makes it a little better.  I've had different flavors (salt and vinegar, cheddar, ranch, jalapeno cheese, etc...) they all essesntially taste the same to me...so I just use them as my "emergency" snack!
