Best to take it first thing in the morning and yes, you can take it with other meds...vitamins.  Make sure it's the kind we absorb....I use SL.  Congrats on your one month anniversary ;-)

I don't think it matters when you take it (unlike iron).

I start taking B12 a month out too and I was told I could take a monthly B12 injection so I'm doing that - one less pill I have take.

i take my B12 in the AM with my Multi Vit and Calcium, followed at lunch by my iron, another multi at dinner and calcium at bedtime.

Best not to take to take it late afternoon or evening. B12 enters blood stream almost immediately and may cause increase of energy in some people.  That may make going to sleep a bit difficult. So take try to take it in the am, best before lunch.
I get B12 injections - 2 times a month. On the 1st and the 15. (so I can remember) and if I feel extra energy right after injection... that means for me that I was depleted, so then I take an additional dosage, the following week.

I give myself the shots. It is cheaper and better for me.
