Dumping Syndrome
I never dumped so I wouldn't know, but my guess is it could. I find my body changes often, at first I couldn't tolerate lactose, then I could, the other day had a greek yogurt and blew up like a ballon after!! I had issues with certain sugar free things like sugar free ice cream or sugar alchohols but that seems to have gotten better too.
The not so simple answer is yes and no.
Only 30% of RNYers dump. The level of severity goes from mild to severe. Some people dump on things one day, and for months it never happens again. Some folks know exactly which items and how much of it will make them dump and it stays that way for years.
For me, I'm not a dumper. I have had mild symptoms when eating something fried or a sugary dessert. But a full on dumping episode? Never had one.
Over time, I am able to eat things that did not sit right with me in the beginning--like bleu cheese dressing, and a limited amount of fried food.

I've heard that it does, and was SO looking forward to that. Actually for me though, it's gotten worse. I dump on things I never dumped on before (I'm 2 1/2 years out), and now I also have reactive hypoglycemia, which to my understanding is a type of late dumping. 
I guess on the upside, at least my "tool" is still working this far out.

Well if you even dump at all...maybe so, maybe not.
I still dump but I've learned how to avert dumping. If I eat a full meal, I can have a few bites of something with sugar and be fine. More than three bites and I am prone to at least a fast hearbeat. But I cannot eat sugar on an empty pouch. That would cause full out dumping which is HELL.

That's similar to my reaction. If I have something sweet, and it's a very small portion, and I eat it after eating a meal, slowly, I'm pretty much good. I had a piece of caramel cake after some barbeque at a firend's birthday party and was fine. But the piece was about half the size of a deck of cards, and I ate it over about 20 minutes. I find that I can still enjoy my sweets a lot, but now it's savoring tiny tastes slowly, not mouthful after mouthful.
Very high fat, low fiber foods will make me dump, period. Combining fat and sugar... oof. You can imagine. My dumping is not as severe now as in the beggining, but that may simply be because I'm better at avoiding it. Now it starts with some nausea, lots of burping, and a kind of... I don't know how to describe it, exactly. A kind of general discomfort that feels like being very physically tired, fast pulse, flushed and a little panicked all at the same time, like I should go lay down someplace quiet and breathe. Then within about 20 minutes or so I start getting cramps, and the next step is a long, long visit to the john.
That's pretty much the end of it nowadays. It definitely was worse in the beggining, but as I said, I wasn't as aware of what might cause me to dump, and also not as in tune with the early warning signs, and so was more likely to just keep eating when I should have clued in and put the spoon down.

Glad you mentioned fats. I dump on a lot fats. Can't do grease. Animal fat is just ugggggggggh.
