I was about 3 months out.
It was repaired in the outpatient surgery center.
It's very simple.
They do an endoscopy and use a balloon to open up the closure.
You are under anesthesia but it's so easy and I can eat again.

i'm in the same boat! two weeks ago, every mushy food i ate went down without a problem - pureed chili, mashed potatoes, thicker soups, oatmeal, eggs. now i am having the same issues as you (i'm one month out) and can really only get down water and really thin liquids, and even that is making me nauseous. feeling like it's probably a stricture - i have a call in to the office and hope i can schedule an endoscopy soon.

lorliea - I will admit that at times I do think that I am not paying attention and eating to fast or too big of a bite at one time. Im trying to get better about this and I really hope its not a stricture.

A key for me to control bite size is I eat with a baby spoon and fork while at home.

I have been feeling very nauseus and today I ended up throwing out talapia as it didn't sit well.  I called the doctors office and spoke with the nurse.  I'm 7 weeks out, she said it was too soon for a sticture and told me to eat slowly and chew.  She also said that if I still felt ill after eating that I should go back to the level prior.  I am going to do pureed and liquid for a couple days to see if I feel better.
