So you ate a cookie!
here is a good article talking about food cravings. Yes it is from Active.com but I think it still applies.

You know one of the most profound things I read about cravings? I think it was in Health magazine. It said basically that if you go off the rails on refined carbs, expect to crave them the next few days. That made me go, "whoa."
It's helped though. I used to think when I did that that the fact that I ate more and more of them was an increasing lapse in will power. Now I know PART of that is chemical as my body demands more of that quick/crash and burn energy.
So now, if I get a little too carby, I recognize that subsequent cravings are probably my body reacting. Usually I push back with fiber and protein and I get over it pretty quickly.
Thanks for this information Paul!

So I eat a cookie... it means more time on the elliptical or another long walk/run.

Great article Paul. I've been thinking that for a long time. It's just so true.
