Someone at work just ask me if Mike & Ike's candies were good for me and if i wanted any.

Hello are you serious??  umm lets see, Candy and 26grams of sugar for like 4 pieces.  What do you think Brain surgeon i felt like saying

Babygirl got her surgery March 3rd...     She's from 339 to 200 as of 6/14/2012.. SOO proud of my bigbabygirl

Since Mike & Ike's are fruit flavored it should count as a serving of fruit right?  In that case eat them to your heart's content. 

I had someone at church yesterday try to rationalize to me that potato chips are good for you because they are made from potatoes which is a vegetable.

That's right!  While you're at it have them with a bowl of ice cream and cake because you really want to get your dairy and grains in for the day.

You do!  That means you don't have to take any calcium supplements today.  Ice cream is a better source of calcium lol.

What's sad is I remember being pre-op and rationalizing the quality of the foods I ate in this way.  I would say to myself that ice cream was okay as long as I had some fruit with it.  I was also one of those people who would eat a burger and fries with Diet Coke to balance it out.

Only the dark chocolate Peanut butter cups.  Dark Chocolate is good for you and PB is Protein so have at it!
