I just left the physical thearapy for my back. and I am now allowed to eat normal foods. so I went and got a tostada, I thought that was a good choice since it is like a salad with chicken. I was surprised I ate almost the whole thing. about 1 1/2 C. of food, ( I did not eat the shell). Now I am stuffed. But feeling normal. not stuck at all. I keep reading how almost nobody can eat chicken.  did I really have surg?

Lots of us had no problem with chicken (or anything else for that matter).  It just seems like most people have trouble with chicken because those are the people who post about it...  BECAUE theya re ahvign trouble eating certain things.  I had a baked buffalo chicken nugget just over a week after surgery with no problem whatsoever.

I've never had a problem with any food.  I started all of them on schedule, but no issues.  Might be easier if there was SOMETHING I couldn't eat.
I will remind you however, just because you can eat that much, doesn't mean you have to or should eat that much.

I'm with you Price.  I've also never had any problems with any foods.

I've notice that there have been some foods that I no longer care for, but as far as having issue with anything, I never have.  I'm almost three years post-op and have never thrown up.

Once in a while I'll eat something that makes me a little jittery, but otherwise, everything goes right on through normally.

I've never had trouble with any food either. Both my parents had trouble with chicken for the first couple of years, but it has never bothered me.

I have a problem with white meat chicken...even if it is fried and I take the skin off.  Even crock pot white meat chicken doesn't sit right.  So, I guess I am a dark meat girl for awhile :)

I'm sure you already explained this...but why did you have to be cleared to eat regular food for issues with your back??

No connection between the back and being able to eat reg. foods. Two different Drs. Just happen to be leaving the PT's office when I stopped for dinner

The only time I have trouble with meat is if it's over cooked, dry or bland.  Which has just forced me to become a better cook.  Even took a few local cooking classes.  It's really been eye opening!
