Oh YEAH! I'm a dumper!

Don't get me wrong, it sucks to dump....but at least I do it!  Yay!

Today I went out to dinner to a place we go every Monday night.  It is Thai food.  I always get the same thing, but tonight I shared a meal with my friend who always gets Orange Chicken.  It is fried and put in a sugary sauce.  I ate a few pieces, I really didn't think it would hurt, I have not dumped except on peanut butter a week out of surgery and since them peanut butter does not make me dump.

I got light headed, sweaty, my tummy was turning in pain, I felt like I was going to pass out.  Oh the pain in my tummy.  I left ASAP drove home like a maniac and almost got in an accident trying to pull over to throw up!  But God had my back and I made it home safe, where I then passed out on my bed for a few hours and now I feel fine.

I hate dumping, but glad I do it.  They say dumpers have a better success rate then non dumpers.  Not sure if that is true but I will tell you this, it will be a cold day in hell before I eat anything fried or coated in sugary sauce again!

Welcome to the club! It's sure no fun, and you think I would learn. But no, I've dumped 3 times on ice cream!

Live and hopefully learn!

Ugh! Now you see why dumping isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sure, it's an aversion technique. BUT it feels like HELL when you're going thru it. I dumped on some less obvious foods: watermelon, mashed potatoes, regular applesauce, and polish sausage. Fun!

I have dumped twice on ice cream as well! Funny thing is I really dont like ice cream and I now have a much better reason to stay away from it.

Don't know if I'm a dumper but the fear of doing so keeps me away from what I'm not supposed to eat. I would imagine that dumpers have a better success rate. If I knew I didn't dump.....cheesecake would go down real easy!

Yeah, that is exactly what they say in my support groups.  Dumpers do better.  I was worried cause I really felt like I could eat anything.  OF course I don't eat candy, cake, ice cream, fried foods, things with sugar sauce.  I didn't eat them because I was afraid to dump but because those are not things that "thin" people make part of their diet on a regular bases.  I thought that if I could give those things up for a year then maybe I could gain control of my own eating habits.

Well I broke my plan, ate fried and sugar at one time....big mistake, but also a great way to clean out the system and even BIGGER aversion tactic!
