How Long Till You Felt Normal Again??
I'm 31 and 2 weeks post-op and I'm still tired but I feel better than I thought I would. I'm able to drive myself around again, I can go grocery shopping but I do get tired very easily. I'm able to walk about a mile every evening (I walk through my neighborhood) with a few stops along the way. I don't nap during the day, but when I get in bed at night I CRASH. I go back to work next week so I'm interested to see how my energy levels will hold up.
i was crying in the supermarket from the exhaustion of pushing a near empty grocery cart at 3 weeks out.
In my opinion, you are doing just fine. I was very tired for 3 months. I was plain old tired for another 3 months. Then my energy went through the roof.
I ran 8 miles after work last night. I've got energy to BURN!

I'm 32 and just about 2 weeks out from surgery. I have returned to work. I definitely get tired after a full day of work, but it's not too bad. I make sure I keep up with all my vitamins and supplements as well as getting in my protein first and foremost. I also have University classes two nights a week (after full day for work), so I'm usually ready to go to bed by the time I get home.
I was very active prior to surgery, I'm not sure if this help at all post surgery. I'm still on mostly clear liquids, along with eggs, yogurt and cottage cheese. I can progress to shrimp, fish and soft vegies on the 25th of this month.
Just take your time, and listen to your body. If you need to rest, then rest. Don't pu**** Everyone appears to be different.
Hang in there!

I was mostly pain free after three weeks, but I didn't feel normal and not tired until 10-12 weeks. I had to go back to work 7 days after surgery and I have three children in school so I wasn't able to rest up and take it easy like I should have. I also ended up with pneumonia three months after surgery and I think being run down just contributed to that.
Take it easy, get your fluids in and don't pu****
