OptiSource Post Bariatric Surgery Formula - Ever Tried It?
You could try one and find out. The WORST that could happen was that you get a "stuck incident".. which sucks, yes. BUT, if the pill goes down then all of your vitamin problems are solved, right?
I have never had any trouble taking pills. I was scared the first time, too.. but, they went down just fine. =]
Good luck!

Unfortunately, as with the protein shakes, if someone tells you that chewable vitamin XXX tastes really good, you might find that you think they are disgusting... so the only way you will know for sure is to try them for yourself. I personally think the Centrum chewables (both the silver and regular formula) are quite tolerable (and inexpensive), but some people don't like them. I also like the Celebrate pineapple strawberry (but they are VERY sweet tasting and expensive). I alternate chewables with regular vitamins.
I, too, was given small pills while still in the hospital, and was cleared for larger pills (multivitamins and calcium) after 4 weeks. I never had a problme with anything getting stuck. Regular vitamins CAN be cut in half, BTW, whenever you are ready to try them.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Different rules for different doctors. This is all strange to me. When in the hospital i was given liquid pain meds and one in my iv. I took my one by mouth but i think they cut it in half for me and its a tiny pill anyways. They told me my stoma was only the size of like my little fingernail. When i went to my first appt. after my surgery the bs-RN told me no vitamins right now. I am assuming at my next appt. in a week they will tell me to start taking chewables so i have been on the lookout. Contacted bariatric advantage and they are sending me a sample pack. Also contacted another company..complete i think? Hopefully they will send me a sample pack also. I will either take the bariatric advantage chewables or centrum chewables. But i am really more concerned about the Calcium one. Thats the one i might be getting online. Let me know what you decide. I KNOW i will not take the Flintstones..they don't have everything you need..
