Christmas goals?
I've been in a stall for over two months. I'm determined I'm breaking it. And I'm determined in the next 3 months to loose 20 pounds. I'm going back to basics. No snacks (my plan doesn't allow them early out only 6 months+) and I'm going back to journalling everything I eat. I know my body knows how to loose weight. I'm in the low 180's consistently. My goal is to be 160 by Christmas. I can and WILL do this. I am stepping up my exercise starting today. I started today with a scrambled egg, with protein added. I will get there!
I have nothing to hang my head about. As a revision who has screwed up her metabolism, I have lost 80 pounds since January. I want to hit that 100 pound lost mark. I don't care if it's only for ONE day. It's my personal goal.

I'm sitting at the stall with you. Blah. My goal was to just get under 200, then I honestly no longer cared about my weight. I hit 199.8 one day and one day only. Since then it's been 200-201 (about 2 weeks now). Sadly, the 199.8 wasn't on my actual weigh-in date, so I can't put it on my weighloss sheet.
As I sit and drink my coffee (milk with that rectangular canned french vanilla stuff) I am thinking about NOT drinking it in order to better handle my weight loss journey, but yet here I still sit drinking it like I can't live without it (and I'm really unsure if I can lol). It's better than starbucks, right...?

I think it is totally do able. Just be careful not to get too caught up in numbers. We all know that we can do everything right and the scale won't cooperate which is why I believe the scale is a tool of the devil and invented to torture women.
I have been stuck in a stall as well. I started seeing a personal trainer yesterday and she seems to think I can loose 35 to 40 pounds by Christmas. I think that is a little high at this point in my journey. My weight loss has really slowed down and like you, my metabolism is out the window. Her argument was that by changing my cardio around and adding weights several times a week I can do it. I still don't agree with her and am trying for 20 pounds by Christmas. She also reminded me that it is not all about the number on the scale.
I think you have done great and you should be very proud of your accomplishment. 80 pounds in less than a year is amazing. I know you must be looking and feeling great.

Thank you for your kind words. And it is amazing to have lost 80 pounds in a year. And I am VERY proud of myself. I have a self confidence I've NEVER in my life had. I will have photos taken (which I haven't done since I hit this stall, and yet I've dropped to a size 12 in about half the brand's of clothes walmart carries). I will have my teenager take the photos. He does an EXCELLENT job.
Would you care to make like a group or a weekly post to encourage each other? I know the support would be great for me, and I do a pretty good job encouraging others. Just a thought. I'd be willing to do some stat keeping if anyone was interested. I'll fess up, I'm 185 today. I'd like to hit 160 even. So that's a total of 25 to short term goal. Long term I'd like to hit 140.
I can't afford a personal trainer, but I have a gym I can use for 20 dollars a month. I can do weights, cardio, but no classes and no trainer. So any suggestions you'd like to share from your trainer I'd love. Right now I'm doing wii ea active 2, and an elliptical, and alternate that with a recombiant bike. I'm looking for a treadmill. One with an incline. Those are my favorite item to use. Just can't afford a new one. I can/will walk for hours. But living upstate New York, I can't do that in the winter. And I can't walk when my kids are sick. My three kids have special health concerns so they're often sick.

I'd love to be down 10 pounds by Christmas, but every single pound now
seems to be a struggle. I definitely earn each one. That would put me at
152 and within 7 pounds of goal by my 1 year surgiversary. I could use the
motivation to exercise more and I think I need to start journaling my food
and drink. Start a weekly Christmas Goal post and anybody who's
interested can pop in for support and post their accomplishments for
the week. I'll be there!

I think a weekly Christmas goal post is a great idea. I only have 3 sessions with a personal trainer. My first official session will be next week. Monday was a quick meeting to set up goals etc. I signed up for my first 5K on Oct. 21st. Currently I am running 25 minutes and walking on the treadmill until I hit 3.5 miles. My goal is to be able to run the entire time. I enjoy the cardio, but I don't feel comfortable with the weights. I am hoping the trainer will get me more confident on that end.
I am having the opposite problem as you right now. We are in Texas and the temp**** 102 the other day. I can't walk in the morning because I need to get the kids ready for school. We had been going out at 7 pm, but now the days are getting shorter I don't know how much longer I can do that.
I'll let you know if I learn anything useful on Tuesday.
