mistake in my favor!
I wouldn't have called them. I worked in retail for 5 years and if I made a mistake then that's on me. I think it is a little different in a grocery store if they don't charge you for something but they shipped it to her. It is a big company a d they made a mistake. It is nice that you called but I think you would still be a good person if you hadn't. Enjoy the bars!

Thank you for saying I'm still a nice person. Was really doubting ANYONE would consider me a good person, considering my first reaction was to not call. Guess that illustrates the damage of good/bad labels, they really do end up hurting you!

Labels always have an impact.
That said, I don't think "dishonest" is a label I would attach to you over a box of protein bars that the company put in the shipment (with a copy of your order that did not reflect that box) and shipped to you. Calling or not in this situation does not, in my opinion, have any influence on your reputation of honesty. And believe me, where other folks may have called in this situation, they have their own hurtful labels that aren't out on display for us.

You are still totally a good and honest person! I think everyone has their own hang ups ya know? I just happen to be one of those people who would let something like this fester until it drove me crazy and I called. lol If you were okay with not calling, you shouldn't let what someone else would or wouldnt do bother you. Easier said than done though right? 
I feel better about myself now and thank you all for your understanding & support!

WooHoo for you! When it is something like that there is no point trying to fix it.... not like YOU should pay to ship back THEIR mess-up!!!
But I went out to eat last week and the waitress gave me back $10 too much, and I definitely told her and fixed it, I have been there.... that comes out of her personal pocket and THAT is guilt I couldn't live with! ;)
