I thought we lost no matter what...
There are more things to take into consideration than BMI. Do a bod pod or something that will calculate your body fat %. it is possible to have a Perfectly normal or atheletic body fat % and still be obese or overweight. The lower your body fat % the hard it is for you to lose weight.
Say you weigh 160 and you have a goal of 140. If you have 22% body fat that means you have 35.2 pounds of fat or 124 pounds of lean muscle (yes you have organs and bones and stuff but for ease of math). if you lost 20lbs more and it was pure fat you would be in the 10-12 percent range for body fat percent which would put you in an atheltetic category.
Sometimes you have a magic number that you may want to hit but that doesn't mean your body wants the same number.
I am a Overweight person with a normal Body Fat % . If I were to hit my goal I would have like 10% body fat.
