Things are progressing!!

.....In our last episode, our character was optimistic about her chances of having both a total thyroidectomy and RNY by the end of the year...Let's see how it is going...



I couldn't resist. My life feels like a soap opera right now LOL.

So, anyways, I had my surgeon consult for the thyroid yesterday, and I have a surgery date of November 7th for that. He is very optimistic that I can have both this year! He says that I should be ready a month after the thyroid surgery!!!

Also, today I did my psych consult, and she gave me raving reviews and said that she will have the report into the WLS surgeon by Monday the latest!

Now, I have a call in to the Patient rep at my WLS surgeon's office to ask other questions such as time line between approval and surgery, average time till approval with my insurance, if they have received dr letter and labs, etc...

So, all seems hopeful we are looking at both surgeries by Dec 31st! Please keep your fingers crossed for me!!
