ho ho ho.... those of us working towards Christmas goals.... update
I'm almost to my starting weight. Thanks to surgery and in-activeness, and my bariatric surgeon telling me I needed carbs to heal from this surgery. UGH. Well I'm below where I started by 1 pound. Woo hooo. I downloaded a Lose It app for my new phone, and it's helped. I'm going back to basics, I'm healed enough! I've noticed that eating carbs was making me nauseated so I'd graze, as it kept me from vomiting, which made my pouch REALLY Grouchy the next day. So I had gained (UGH) up to 192. My low all time was 183, I'm hanging around 185 today. A week before my emergency surgery on 10-22 I was at 186. So I'll take it. Trying to find out when I get the kids I'm babysitting today, so I can schedule a walk

good luck. We're checking in on monday's. I think I missed last week, but was having a rather stressful day. No excuses.
That sounds reasonable. My goal was to be in the 160s, which is 15 pounds away. I'm nearly at my one year mark, So i really want to get to that 160 even. That would be 100 pounds lost in a year.

After another 2 week stall I cut out all carbs and lost 4 pounds this week. I started this challenge at 208. I have a mini goal to hit 190 by thanksgiving which is only one pound away. I would love to be at 180 by Christmas. That is only 11 pounds away. 185 by Christmas is my goal.
I am planning to hit the gym for a weight class and then 45 minutes on the treadmill. Hopefully if I really pu**** at the gym and keep away from carbs I will continue to lose.
My big news is that as of today I am no longer obese.

Good morning! I'm so glad to hear how well you are all doing. Keep up the great work and motivation! My surgery was September 28. I started at 322 and I then set a Christmas goal of 275. As of this morning, I'm 280!! Only 5 lbs. to go. So I'm busting my butt to lose that by Thanksgiving (I'm determined, dammit!) and have set myself a new Christmas goal of 260. I'm really hoping to meet it because when I do, I'm treating myself to a pedicure and new jeans/bras (desperately needed).
On another note, I notice I lose about a pound a day when I sit around and watch tv for hours, but I stay at the same weight on days I exercise. Any theories as to why?

Water retention from using your muscels/them healing. Don't let that be a reason not to workout. Keep it up and eventually (after a week or so) your body will stop hanging on to tha****er and keep going down. You'll thank yourself later for sticking to working out later when your further out and weight loss slows down. Plus, your body will thank you for making it strong and healthy. :) Also, drink tha****er. I know it sounds strange, but the more you drink, the less your body will hold on to it!
This is fun well i have a goal i want to get to 130 for christmas that would complete me 100 pounds loss but i am right now 144 so i have 14 pounds i need to cut off on carbs and eat more protien and do lots of cardio at the gym and drink lots of water with that i should hopefully be able to get to my christmas goal that would be the best christmas gift.
