I hope that I will be ok too, but if I can't oh well as soon as I start to move around a little I will be right back in the nail salon! lol! Taking my nails off for this surgery is sooooo welllll worth it!!

I was told that hair spray might have alchol in it and could catch on fire.  No nail polish for the reason that was previously mentioned, but toe nails were legal.

Hey Donna

I'm sorry to tell you but your probably gonna hafta go natural. Definitely no hair wrap or fingernail polish. You may also have to take the tips off. I guess you just gonna hafta to just diva up the toes although, their gonna make you wear those slipper socks things during surgery so nobody will get a chance to see them.

I had to remove mine before my surgery just a couple weeks ago. BUT getting a new set on while I was off from work was a nice thing to do for myself when I was feeling a little down one day!!

When I had my surgery I was able to have my acrylic nails. I just had to take off all jewelry. :)

I had my toenails painted. I had socks on my feet in surgery. My finger nails had to be clean with nothing on them.

During pre-op testing the hospital told me that I could not have anything on my finger nails.  They sometimes effect the pulse ox readings.  I ended up removing my gel nails before sugery and gave my nails a break for few months. Just got them redone last week.  As far as the scarf, they made me put a plastic cap on just before surgery.  The toes should be fine but I'd double check just in case.

I had my nails and toes done when i went in, and i had green tips on my nails, you just have to make sure that the manicure starts low enough for the o2 sensor to read  it..

I had surgery on the 15th of November.  I have  Solar Nails  and my toenails were painted.  They said nothing about either.  You can see through the Solar Nails and they look natual.
Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be when I got older.

I was told no.  I was also told that the nail polish can cause a problem with the read of some of the things like o2 sensors they put on  your fingers.
They would just rather you not wear it at my facility- better check the rules at your just to be safe.
